Molten Coin Moissanite Pendant

from £100.00

Using a cast-in-place method of stone setting, each one of our luxurious coin pendants is carved from wax. Three lab-grown moissanite gemstones are set into the wax when the mould is made, and then the molten metal is poured around the stones, setting each one in place.

The method creates an organic look, like the stones were ‘found’ in the metal. The melted texture of the coin is hand-crafted, making each pendant unique and one-of-a-kind. Each coin is 15mm wide and has 3 2mm gemstones.

Our pendants are made to order and can be made in silver, 18ct gold vermeil or solid 9ct or 18ct gold. Each pendant comes on a delicate 18-inch curb chain; chain length and style can be altered on request.

What is Moissanite

Moissanite is a dazzling gemstone with extraordinary brilliance and durability, making it a popular alternative to traditional diamonds. Originally discovered in a meteor crater by French scientist Henri Moissan in 1893, moissanite is composed of silicon carbide. It is renowned for its hardness, ranking just below diamonds on the Mohs scale. It is also an eco-friendly alternative to using mined gemstones.

Materials & Care

This is jewellery that can stand the test of time. All our jewellery is made using recycled sterling silver. Items can be made to order in solid 9ct, 14ct, or 18ct gold; just email emily@loveslabourswon.co.uk for a quote.

We use a high-quality 22ct gold vermeil, much more durable than the industry standard, for plated items. Please keep your jewellery safe in the pouch provided when not wearing it to avoid scratches, and please take it off before showering, as chemicals in shampoos and soaps can damage the plating over time.

Due to every one of our products being made by hand, we hold minimal stock, and most items are made to order. Please allow up to 3 weeks for any made-to-order items. Whether or not a style is made-to-order will be stated in the product description. If ordering for a tighter deadline, please get in touch, as we often can make and process things more speedily if needed.
